Ingredients for 20 Servings:

  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil (45 ml)
  • 3 onions
  • 1 cup milk (240 ml)
  • 8 grams dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream (30 ml)
  • 60 ml unrefined sunflower oil (¼ cup)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (5 grams)
  • 3 cups flour (360 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (15 grams)

Instructions:

Prepare the Sponge:

Mix the yeast with 1 tablespoon of flour. Pour warm milk into a large bowl, add salt and sugar, and stir until dissolved. Add the flour-yeast mixture and stir well. Cover the bowl and let it sit in a warm place for 20 minutes.

Peel and dice the onions. Sauté them in heated vegetable oil until golden brown, about 7 minutes. Add a pinch of salt and sugar, mix well, and let cool.
