Ingredients:
- Fresh mushrooms, 500 grams (1.1 pounds)
- Black peppercorns, 10 pieces
- Salt, 1 tsp (7 grams)
- Sugar, 2 tsp (15 grams)
- Bay leaves, 4 leaves
- Water, 50 milliliters / 1/4 cup
- Refined vegetable oil, 50 milliliters / 1/4 cup
- Apple cider vinegar (5%), 50 milliliters / 1/4 cup
- Garlic, 3 cloves, 15 grams
- Dill, to taste
Instructions:
Wash the mushrooms, and if they are large, cut them into halves or quarters.
Press the garlic cloves using a garlic press.
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil, add the mushrooms, garlic, water, vinegar, bay leaves, sugar, salt, and peppercorns.
Cover the pan with a lid and cook over medium heat. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Allow the mushrooms to cool, sprinkle with finely chopped dill, transfer to a jar, and refrigerate for 4 hours.
