Cream-Filled Pastry Tubes: Pure Bliss…


For the pastry:

  • Chicken egg – 3 pieces (180 grams or approximately 3/4 cup)
  • Sugar – 80 grams (2/5 cup)
  • Wheat flour – 80 grams (2/3 cup)

For the cream:

  • Cottage cheese (9% fat) – 150 grams (5.3 ounces or approximately 2/3 cup)
  • Cream (20% fat) – 100 grams (3.5 ounces or approximately 1/2 cup)
  • Butter – 50 grams (3.5 tablespoons)
  • Powdered sugar – 120 grams (1 cup)
  • Vanilla extract – a pinch

Prepare the Pastry:

Beat the eggs with sugar until thick and creamy, then add the flour.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spoon the pastry dough onto it (I baked 4 pieces at a time), lightly spreading it into small circles using the back of a spoon (10 cm / 4 inches in diameter).

Bake in a preheated oven (it bakes very quickly).

Remove from the oven and quickly roll into tubes while still warm.

Prepare the Cream:

In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, cream, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.


Once the pastry tubes have cooled, fill them generously with the prepared cream using a piping bag or spoon.
