  • 200g (7.05 ounces) of dark or milk chocolate
  • 2.5 tablespoons of potato starch

Instructions:

Dissolve starch in a glass of milk. Heat the remaining milk in a pot, add chocolate, and heat until it dissolves. Add the milk with starch, stir well, heat until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and serve hot.

Mexican Hot Chocolate:

Ingredients:

  • 50g (1.76 ounces) extra-dark chocolate
  • 500ml (2.11 cups) of milk
  • 200ml (0.85 cups) of water
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions:

Cut chocolate into small pieces. Pour milk and water into a pot, put it on medium heat. Add a cinnamon stick and 3/4 of the chocolate. Stir with the cinnamon stick until everything is well mixed and the milk smells like cinnamon. Optionally, add cayenne pepper for a spicy kick. Bring to a boil over low heat. Cut the remaining two cinnamon sticks in half. Place half a stick in each cup. Whisk the milk with a whisk. Pour the hot chocolate into the cups and serve.

Ingredients:

  • 50g (1.76 ounces) cocoa
  • 100g (3.52 ounces) sugar
  • 5 tablespoons of cream
  • Butter to taste
  • Vanilla, cinnamon to taste

Instructions:

Mix cocoa and sugar. In a small saucepan, heat the cream to boiling, stirring, pour in cocoa with sugar. Stirring, cook until smooth. If desired, add a piece of butter before cocoa with sugar. You can also add cinnamon and vanilla.

Ingredients:

  • 1 liter (4.23 cups) of milk
  • 1/2 cup of cream
  • 2 tablespoons of rum
  • 250g (8.82 ounces) of dark chocolate

Instructions:

Combine milk, cream, and rum in a saucepan. Place on the heat, bring to a boil. Immediately remove the pan from the heat and lower the chocolate pieces into it to melt in hot milk. Stir everything until smooth, serve in preheated mugs.

Creamy Hot Chocolate:

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup of cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/3 cup of boiling water
  • 700ml (2.96 cups) of milk
  • 1/2 cup of cream
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions:

Take a saucepan, pour cocoa, sugar, and salt into it, mix. Pour boiling water into it, stirring as well, bring the mixture to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes, being careful not to burn. Then add milk and heat, not bringing to a boil. Remove from heat, add vanilla sugar, pour into 4 cups, add cream. Slightly cool before serving.
