Ingredients:
- 10 Ferrero Rocher chocolates
- 280 grams (10 ounces) chocolate
- 7 tablespoons (175 grams) Nutella spread
- 200 grams (7 ounces) unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons (40 grams) all-purpose flour
- 200 grams (7 ounces) hazelnuts
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 200 grams (7 ounces) wafer sheets
- 5 large eggs, approximately 300 grams
- 2 tablespoons (40 grams) cocoa powder
- 6 tablespoons (90 grams) sugar
Instructions:
Beat the eggs with sugar until the mixture triples in volume.
Mix the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Add chopped nuts.
Gradually add the dry mixture to the egg mixture in 3 portions.
Grease a cake pan with butter and pour the batter into it. Bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave or using a double boiler. Then, cool the chocolate to room temperature. Mix the chocolate with separately whipped butter and Nutella.
Beat everything together until smooth.
Cut the baked cake into 2-3 layers. Crush the wafers. Spread the cream on each layer and sprinkle with crushed wafers. Use the remaining cream to cover the outside of the cake, sprinkle with wafers and nuts if there’s some left.
Cut each Ferrero Rocher candy in half and arrange them around the cake. Chill the cake thoroughly, and before serving, take it out a little in advance to soften the cream.
Enjoy your meal!
