Ingredients:
- 2 cups (240 g) flour
- 5 chicken eggs
- 150 g (2/3 cup) melted unsalted butter
- 4 apples
- 2 cups (400 g) sugar
- Ground cinnamon – to taste
- Ground nutmeg – to taste
- 1 tablespoon grated lemon zest for baking
Instructions:
Peel and core the apples, then slice them thinly, lightly dusting with flour.
Add cinnamon and nutmeg to the apples, gently mix.
Beat eggs with sugar using a mixer. Once the mixture lightens, add lemon zest and gradually pour in the melted unsalted butter while continuing to beat at a low speed.
Add sifted flour to the mixture.
The batter should resemble thick sour cream.
Grease a baking dish with butter and pour a small amount of batter into it. Then layer with some apples, followed by batter, and so on.
The top layer should be batter.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for about an hour.
Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool.
