Unexpected guests, especially those of the husband’s relatives, often catch us off guard. Every hostess knows the challenge of selecting a dish that not only can be prepared from readily available ingredients but also must be delicious, incredibly aromatic, and, of course, unique – with its own exquisite twist.
Today, we’re sharing a magnificent recipe borrowed from Spanish cuisine. Just be prepared for loved ones to request this dish again and again, and for all your guests to beg for the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 5 eggs
- 250 g (8.8 oz) mixed pork and beef mince
- 1 small onion
- 150 ml (5 fl oz) white wine
- 4 tbsp tomato sauce
- Hard cheese
- Salt and pepper
- Olive or sunflower oil
For Béchamel Sauce:
- 500 ml (2 cups) milk
- 2 tbsp flour
- 15 g (1 tbsp) butter
- Olive oil
- Salt, pepper, and nutmeg
Instructions:
Heat olive or sunflower oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the minced meat. Break up any lumps.
While the meat browns, chop the onion and add it to the meat.
Once the onion starts to turn golden, it’s time to add the white wine. Reduce the heat and continue cooking the meat, stirring occasionally.
Boil the eggs until hard-boiled, then peel and halve them.
Remove the yolks and set them aside.
Now, let’s prepare the sauce. Place a saucepan over low heat, add a little olive oil to melt the butter. Add flour and mix well.
Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly. Add spices and continue stirring until the sauce reaches a medium thick consistency.
Transfer the cooked mince to a bowl and grate the egg yolks into it. Add a ladle of the prepared sauce.
Mix everything well. Generously fill the egg whites with the resulting filling and place them in a baking dish.
Pour the remaining Béchamel sauce over the top.
Add tomato sauce on top and sprinkle with grated cheese. Naturally, the more cheese, the juicier.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 10 minutes.
Everything is ready, enjoy the taste and aroma of this dish. You can also watch a video recipe for making this deliciousness!
