Now a staple in my breakfast routine!
Eggs – a product that’s almost always in everyone’s refrigerator. And for good reason! They cook up quickly and result in consistently delicious dishes. It seems impossible to go wrong with eggs.
Today, our editorial team has prepared an unusual dish for you – the legendary Spanish omelette “a la Catalana.” It’s a quick, incredibly aromatic, and delicious dish, with ingredients you likely already have at home!
Spanish Omelette “a la Catalana”
- 3 eggs
- 2 tbsp milk
- Ham, cheese, tomatoes
- Salt, pepper to taste
Whisk the eggs with milk, season with salt and pepper. Next, finely chop the ingredients for the filling.
In a pan, melt a bit of butter, pour 2/3 of the omelette mixture, and add the filling.
Once the omelette slightly browns on one side, fold it in half like a tube, stopping at the center.
Then, move the folded omelette to the center of the pan, pour the remaining mixture, and cook until it’s set enough to continue folding.
Slice the finished omelette into pieces.
This delicious omelette can be enjoyed hot or cold, and it retains its amazing flavor even as it cools!
