Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • Baking powder – 2 teaspoons (10 g)
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 tablespoon (15 g)
  • All-purpose flour – 1 cup (120 g)
  • Butter (softened) – 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • Powdered sugar – 1 tablespoon (15 g)
  • Sugar – 1 cup (200 g)
  • Apples – 14 oz (400 g)
  • Ground almonds – 4.2 oz (120 g)
  • Milk – 1/3 cup (80 ml)
  • Sliced almonds – 1 tablespoon (15 g)
  • Eggs – 3


Make the Batter:

Beat the eggs with the sugar, vanilla sugar, and butter until well combined. Gradually add the flour, baking powder, and ground almonds while continuing to beat. Pour in the milk and mix until smooth.

Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces. Fold the apple pieces into the batter.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9-inch (900 g) round cake pan with butter. Pour the batter into the pan and smooth the top.
