Ingredients (Serves 4):
- Powdered sugar: 2 tbsp (16g)
- Sugar: 3 tbsp (36g)
- Sour cream: 1 tbsp (15ml)
- Egg yolk: 1
- Egg whites: 3
- Butter: 1 tbsp (14g)
- Vanilla sugar: 1 packet (10g)
- Large apples: 2
- Cottage cheese: 200g (7 oz)
Instructions:
Prepare the Apples: Finely chop the apples and mix them with the sugar. Heat on low until the mixture comes to a boil. Set aside to cool.
Mix the Cottage Cheese: Blend the cottage cheese with the sour cream and egg yolk until smooth. Spread this mixture in a buttered baking dish.
Add the Apples: Spread the prepared apples over the cottage cheese mixture. Sprinkle with vanilla sugar and half of the powdered sugar.
Beat the Egg Whites: Whip the egg whites with the remaining powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread the meringue over the apples.
