- Margarine (softened) – 100 grams (1/2 cup)
- Sugar – 2 tablespoons
- Fresh Yeast – 30 grams (2 tablespoons)
- Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
For the Filling:
- Cottage Cheese – 500 grams (2 cups)
- Sugar – 4 tablespoons
- Egg – 1
How to Make Braided Sweet Bread:
- Prepare the dough and roll it into a rectangular shape, approximately 1-2 cm thick.
- Make incisions along the edges of the dough to create strips, leaving the center untouched.
- Spread the cottage cheese mixture (a mixture of cottage cheese, sugar, and egg) onto the untouched center. Place the strips from the incisions on top, overlapping them, and pinch the edges to prevent unraveling.
- Let the braided bread sit for a while to allow it to rise. Then, brush it with beaten egg and let it rest for an additional 20 minutes.
