- Ground beef, 300 grams (10.6 ounces)
- Yeast, 2 teaspoons, 8 grams
- Sugar, 10 grams (0.35 ounces)
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients: Gather flour, yeast, sugar, egg, vegetable oil, milk, kefir, ground beef, cheese, onion, garlic, salt, and black pepper. With a 24-26 cm diameter form, you’ll have enough for two pies.
Make the Yeast Dough: In a bowl, mix sifted flour, yeast, 4g (0.5 tsp) salt, and sugar. In a separate bowl, combine egg, milk, kefir, and vegetable oil. Then, blend both mixtures. Knead a soft dough, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Prepare the Filling: Blend onion and garlic. Add the onion paste to the ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and mix well. Grate cheese using a medium grater.
Shape the Pie: Roll out a portion of the dough into a 5-7 mm thick layer. Cut circles with a 7 cm diameter. Place a bit of meat filling and grated cheese in the center of each circle. Fold the dough in half and then in half again, pinching the corners.
Arrange the Petals: Place the prepared dough petals in an oiled form, starting from the edges towards the center.
Let It Rise: Cover the formed pie with plastic wrap and let it rise for at least 30 minutes in a warm place. Brush the risen pie with beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 40 minutes.
Chrysanthemum Pie is Ready! Admire the beauty of the cross-section, and savor the delightful taste.
