Ingredients:
- 900g (2 lbs) Potatoes
- 400g (0.9 lbs) Chicken Fillet
- 1 Chicken Egg (about 60g)
- 2 Onions (about 300g)
- 3 tbsp (60g) Wheat Flour
- 150g (5.3 oz) Refined Vegetable Oil
- Salt, to taste
- Ground Black Pepper, to taste
- 100g (3.5 oz) Bread Crumbs
Instructions:
Prepare the ingredients. Wash and dry the chicken; peel and rinse the vegetables. I will simultaneously prepare the dough and the filling.
Pour a small amount of cold salted water over the peeled potatoes. Boil for 20 minutes from the moment of boiling.
Cut the onion and chicken fillet into small pieces. Fry the onion and meat in 2 tablespoons of oil until fully cooked.
Drain all the water from the cooked potatoes. Mash them into a puree using a potato masher. Let it cool slightly. Into the warm mashed potatoes, add the raw chicken egg, mix well. Add the flour. Mix again. The potato puree will become more elastic and convenient for shaping.
Add a pinch of pepper to the fried meat and onions, mince it twice through a meat grinder. The filling for zrazy is ready.
Take a tablespoon of potato puree in your hands, roll it into a ball. Flatten it. Place a tablespoon of filling (not too full) in the center.
Seal the edges, like regular dumplings. Give the zrazy an oval shape. Roll them in bread crumbs on all sides.
Fry the zrazy over medium heat in well-heated oil until golden brown.
Remove the cooked zrazy from the skillet. Transfer them to a plate and serve warm with sour cream and herbs. Enjoy! Yield: 8 zrazy.
