Just look at these appetizing and vibrant “mandarins.” Who would have guessed that they’re not dessert but an appetizer!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 2 boiled eggs
- 2 medium-sized carrots
- 5.3 oz hard cheese
- 3.5 oz processed cheese
- 5 cloves of garlic
- Salt to taste
- Mayonnaise
Instructions:
Boil the carrots, peel them, and grate them finely. Set them aside.
Grate the processed and hard cheese, as well as the boiled eggs.
Crush the garlic cloves using a garlic press, and add them to the mixture of eggs and cheese.
Mix everything well and season with mayonnaise.
Moisten your hands with water. Shape small mandarin-shaped balls from the mixture of eggs and cheese.
Make a small indentation in the center of each ball to create a real mandarin. Place the appetizer in the freezer for 15 minutes.
With wet hands, shape a pancake from the grated boiled carrots and wrap each ball with it.
Decorate each mandarin with a sprig of parsley on top.
