Ingredients:
For Dough 1:
- 200 grams (7.05 oz) of sour cream
- 300 grams (10.58 oz) of flour
- 0.5 teaspoon of baking powder
For Dough 2:
- 200 grams (7.05 oz) of room-temperature butter
- 250 grams (8.82 oz) of flour
- 0.5 teaspoon of baking powder
Filling Options:
- Berry jam
- Chocolate hazelnut spread (Nutella)
- Raisins
- Sugar-coated nuts
Instructions:
In one bowl, sift the flour and add the baking powder. Mix in the sour cream and knead the dough.
In another bowl, sift the flour and add the baking powder. Mix in the softened butter and knead the dough.
Shape each dough into a ball and place them on a floured surface.
Roll out each piece into a thin layer, about 1.5 cm (0.6 inches) thick. Place one layer on top of the other, then roll them out together into a 1 cm (0.4 inches) thick layer. Fold the dough like an envelope.
Repeat the rolling and folding process two more times.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for half an hour.
Remove the dough from the fridge and roll it into a 0.5 cm (0.2 inches) thick rectangle. Cut it into two long strips, and then cut each strip into triangles with a base of about 4-5 cm (1.6-2 inches).
Place your chosen filling near the base of each triangle and roll it into a croissant shape, gently stretching the dough to the sides.
Arrange the croissants on a baking sheet, leaving some space between them, and bake at 180°C (356°F) until they turn golden, approximately 15 minutes.
Once the croissants have cooled, dust them with powdered sugar.
Enjoy your meal!
