Stuffed Bagel Bites {Starbucks Copycat}
No, these bites are not made with bagels, but they are an easy way to replicate Starbucks Bantam™ Bagel Bites. With the egg wash added to the bites, you get the crunch like the outside of a bagel with the soft and chewy inside. And, with the cream cheese center, it’s like you are eating an everything bagel with cream cheese! Plus, they can be made in the oven or an air fryer.
Stuffed Bagel Bites Ingredients
With just a few simple ingredients, you can get the similar taste and texture of a Bantam™ Bagel Bite in just a few minutes!
Cream Cheese: Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing with the bacon.
Bacon: I like to bake bacon ahead of time so it’s ready to go when I need it. To bake bacon, place the slices of bacon on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Bake at 415°F for 18-20 minutes. That’s it! You will have crispy bacon.
Pizza Dough: A store-bought tube of pizza dough works great in this recipe!
Everything Seasoning: This seasoning is a popular seasoning for more than just bagels. Make your own everything seasoning for this recipe, and try it in these Cream Cheese Tortilla Bites.
Egg: The egg wash gives the bites a crusty bite, like the outside of a bagel.
How to Make Stuffed Bagel Bites
It’s easy to get this delicious breakfast or appetizer served up in just a few minutes. And, there is no reason to go buy frozen bagel bites to get your hands on these tasty, bite-sized snacks. To get started, preheat the oven and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set it aside.
In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese with the chopped bacon and 2 teaspoons of everything seasoning. Set that aside as you roll the pizza dough out into a 10×12-inch rectangle. Divide the dough equally into 12 pieces.
In the center of each piece of pizza dough, place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture. Form a ball around the mixture, making sure to close up all the seams. Place the stuffed bites onto the lined baking sheet and brush each with the egg wash. Finally, sprinkle the remaining everything seasoning over the tops and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until golden. Serve warm.
Store leftover bagel bites in a sealed container, in the refrigerator, for up to three days. Pop them in the microwave for a few seconds to warm them up. To freeze leftover bites, wrap the baked bites in plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Put them in the microwave for about 30 seconds to heat them up.
Air Fryer Bagel Bites
If you don’t want to make these bagel bites in the oven, use your air fryer! Spray the basket of the air fryer with nonstick cooking spray and preheat it to 400°F. Follow the instructions as written for making them in the oven, but instead, cook the bites in the air fryer for 7-8 minutes.
