Cottage Cheese and Prune Pie: Delighting Both Figure and Palate!

Ingredients:

For the Crumbly Dough:

  • Chilled butter – 200 g (about 1 cup)
  • Cocoa powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Flour – 300 g (about 2 1/3 cups)
  • Granulated sugar – 150 g (about 3/4 cup)

For the Filling:

  • Cottage cheese – 300 g (about 1 1/4 cups)
  • Eggs – 2 pieces
  • Baking soda – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Sour cream – 2 tablespoons
  • Granulated sugar – 3-4 tablespoons
  • Semolina – 1 tablespoon
  • A handful of prunes (or your preferred dried fruit)
  • Melted chocolate

Cottage Cheese and Prune Pie: Delighting Both Figure and Palate!

Instructions:

  1. Rub butter with flour and granulated sugar until crumbly. Add cocoa powder and mix well.
  2. Mix cottage cheese with granulated sugar, baking soda, and semolina. Add eggs, sour cream, chopped prunes, and thoroughly combine.
  3. In a baking dish, layer 1/3 of the crumbly dough, followed by half of the filling, another layer of dough, and so on. The top layer should be the crumbly dough.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit) and bake for approximately 40-50 minutes.
  5. Once baked, allow it to cool to room temperature before drizzling with melted chocolate.
