Ingredients:
- Sugar – 80 grams (about 1/3 cup)
- Chicken eggs – 3 pieces (180 grams)
- Pinch of salt
- Cinnamon – 1 gram
- Potato starch – 1 tablespoon (15 grams)
- Vanilla essence – 1 gram
- Wheat flour – 70 grams (about 1/2 cup)
- Apples (as needed)
For dusting:
- Powdered sugar
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Combine flour, salt, and cinnamon. If using potato starch, add it to the mixture.
Beat eggs and sugar until the mixture slightly lightens in color and increases in volume (an electric mixer can handle this task in 3-4 minutes).
Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, continuing to beat until the batter is smooth.
Peel and cut apples into cubes or slices. Slices work better based on experience.
Grease a detachable form (22 cm in diameter, 6 cm in height) with vegetable oil and dust with flour. Place the apple pieces at the bottom and pour the batter over them.
The batter should completely cover the fruits.
Bake in the oven for 30–40 minutes (depending on your oven). The top should be well-browned. Check for readiness with a toothpick or matchstick.
Allow the Charlotte to cool slightly, then remove the form and dust the top with powdered sugar (if desired).
